Because he wants to describe the indescribable and because words don’t always work, he’s forced to express it with other means. With the visual equivalent of analogy, innuendo, and metaphor, he chases the slippery, the indefinite, with paint, and ink. He implies, suggests, withholds, and sometimes he even misleads. It is up to us, the viewers—the witnesses—to translate the colors and the forms; to find our own meanings. In the end, we will see what we see, feel what we feel; forced either to rationalize some interpretation into our own truth, or to let go of all need for reassurance and just drift along...
